During an Osint investigation, you may be required to sign up for a website or service. Doing so will require an email address. The ‘burner email’ itself will be fake and under an alias however it will automatically forward all emails to your personal account without the knowledge of the website or service you signed up for. In addition, you will be able to send emails from your account. In this How-To, we will show you how to open a ‘burner email’.

- You will need to pick a username that will be your alias. Pick a name that can’t be traced back to you.
- Enter your real email address to receive emails (if you don’t want to receive emails from a site you signed up to, you can block them using your burner email).
- Pick a password for logging in.
- Find a site you want to sign up to and use your new burner email.
